Elevio alternatives

Elevio puts help inside your product without code: a widget, hotspots and a hosted knowledge base, placed with a point-and-click visualizer. Plans start at $125 per month, billed annually, and multilingual content is in the $389 plan. If you are looking for an alternative, your reason for leaving usually decides which one fits.

Premium$389/month$469/month10Article auto-syncing, multilingual content, priority support

All plans include 1,000,000 page views and a 14-day trial. Dixa acquired Elevio in 2021, and the pricing page also offers Elevio combined with Dixa's support platform.

Elevio's strength is placement without developers. Its widget suggests articles before a user files a ticket, and it connects to help desks such as Zendesk and Freshdesk.

Two reviews point to its limits. One Capterra reviewer lists missing reusable content, conditional text, version control and revision history. Another found that Elevio could not be used on its own, and that combining it with a second support tool became too expensive.

Why teams look elsewhere, and where to look

Price. Starter costs $125 per month for three team members. HelpHero starts at $55 per month for 1,000 monthly active users, with product tours instead of articles. Intercom's help center comes with its support desk from $29 per seat per month.

Multilingual help below the top plan. Elevio serves multilingual content from Premium at $389 per month. Intercom includes a multilingual help center from its Advanced plan at $85 per seat per month.

Structure and reuse. If a piece of help is written once and shown in several places, or needs steps, warnings and references between topics, you need a tool built around structured content. HelpCCMS is one: topics with steps, warnings and reusable parts, fetched by key.

Help where your own code puts it. Elevio decides what help looks like through its widget, and its JavaScript API opens articles in that widget by Elevio's article ID. If you want help text inside your own components, next to a field or in an error message, your app has to fetch the text itself. Headless CMSes and HelpCCMS work that way. Elevio, HelpHero and Userpilot do not.

No developer time at all. Keep this in the comparison. Elevio's visualizer, HelpHero and Userpilot let non-developers place help without code. HelpCCMS places nothing: your app decides where help appears, which takes a one-time integration.
